TeslaLockChime doesn’t have accounts and doesn’t ask for your name or email to download sounds. This page explains what is collected anyway, and why.

What we collect

  • Download counts. When you save a file we record which sound it was, against a one-way hash of your IP address that changes every day. We can’t turn it back into your IP address and we don’t keep it beyond two days. It exists only so one person can’t inflate a count.
  • Rate limiting. The same daily hash is used to slow down automated abuse.
  • Submissions. If you submit a sound, we store the file, the title, the name you want credited and any notes, so we can review and publish it.
  • Anonymous traffic statistics through Cloudflare Web Analytics, which doesn’t use cookies or track you across sites.

Advertising

The site is free because it shows ads. Our advertising partners, including Google, may use cookies or similar technologies to show ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising from Google at adssettings.google.com, and from many other networks at optout.aboutads.info. Visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland are asked for consent before any personalised advertising.

Affiliate links

Some links, for example to USB drives on Amazon, are affiliate links. If you buy something, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. The retailer may set its own cookies.

Bot protection

The submission form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to check that you’re human. Cloudflare processes technical signals for this purpose under its own privacy policy.

Your rights

Because we don’t hold anything that identifies you, there is usually nothing to access or delete. If you submitted a sound and want it removed, contact us and we’ll take it down.
