About

TeslaLockChime is a small library of lock sounds for electric cars. Every file is ready to use: the right format, the right name, under the size limit, and checked so it doesn't distort, at every volume setting.

Where the sounds come from

Most are original sounds designed for this site. Others come from the public domain or from creators who released them under licences that allow reuse, and they're credited on each sound's page. We don't host clips from films, games, TV or music.

How files are prepared

Each sound is trimmed, levelled so the whole library plays at a similar loudness, converted to 16-bit WAV and kept under five seconds. When you pick a volume, the change is made in your browser. Nothing is uploaded, and the file you preview is exactly the file you download.
